The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter to drive inclusive economic prosperity in under-resourced communities through innovative research and programs. ICIC is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to support research projects on local economic development and business growth. The analyst will conduct primary research, synthesize data, perform quantitative analysis, and assist in writing research grant proposals. They will also prepare reports and presentations, develop data visualizations, and identify new research opportunities. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in social sciences or related fields, experience with datasets, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. They should also demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Minimal travel may be required.
