The Department of Economics at UNC Asheville, North Carolina’s public liberal arts university, invites applications for a Lecturer in Economics to begin in Fall 2022. The successful candidate will teach 6 courses (24 contact hours) per year. Each year’s course mix will include multiple sections of Corporate Finance and one section of Investments as well as other courses which may include Introductory Economic Analysis and elective courses. We are open to electives from any field including finance and non-finance fields. Preferred finance topics include Finance for Racial Justice, Financial Institutions and Systems Reform, Decolonizing Wealth, ESG Investing, Climate Finance, International Finance, and Behavioral Finance. Additional electives may include Managerial Economics, Regional Economics, Health Economics, Environmental & Natural Economics, or other courses complementary to the Department’s existing offerings.
