SSA’s Office of Research, Evaluation, and Statistics (ORES) is hiring for Economists in Baltimore, MD ranging from grades 12 (starting salary $94,199) to 13 (starting salary of $112,015). ORES is a principal statistical unit of the federal government and is responsible for developing, conducting, and producing policy relevant research and statistical data regarding the Social Security retirement and disability programs and the Supplement Security Income program.
Do you know someone with a degree or educational background in economics and work experience or interest in any of the following areas?
• Social and economic aspects of earnings and benefits
• Developing and designing computer statistical programs
• Research effects of policies and programs on income, work, or economic well-being
• Produces statistical trust fund information and data produced by major statistical systems used by SSA, Congress, other Federal
agencies and the general public.
