This is a rare opportunity to join WSIPP’s outstanding staff and lead the development of WSIPP’s benefit-cost approach across a variety of applications. The Benefit-Cost Lead is a foundational position within WSIPP and the cornerstone of our benefit-cost research portfolio—a portfolio built and developed over 20 years.
We need someone who is both an experienced researcher and a skilled communicator—our benefit-cost research portfolio is designed to assist the legislature in making evidence-based policy decisions, which requires rigorous analysis alongside the ability to translate technical information into plain language. You’ll work with WSIPP’s talented research team across a variety of policy areas including education, criminal justice, early childhood development, behavioral health, and more.
Candidates must hold either a PhD or a master’s degree with at least eight years of experience as a researcher. This can include graduate-level research experience, but at least three years must be fulltime, paid work experience as a researcher. In addition, candidates must be proficient in Excel and have demonstrated experience in benefit-cost analysis.
